VestaCP Version:

  • 0.9.8 (amd64), release 21.

How to fix 502 Bad gateway error on VestaCP admin

You can fix the 502 bad gateway Nginx error on your VestaCP admin panel page by do the following:

Step 1—You need to replace the old php-fpm configuration with the following:

sudo wget http://c.vestacp.com/tmp/php-fpm.conf -O /usr/local/vesta/php/etc/php-fpm.conf

Or you can simply updating your VestaCP version to the newer version:

sudo v-update-sys-vesta-all

Step 2—Change the VestaCP standard port, for example is 2083:

sed -i 's/8083;/2083;/' /usr/local/vesta/nginx/conf/nginx.conf && v-add-firewall-rule ACCEPT 0.0.0.0/0 2083 TCP

Step 3—Now restart your VestaCP with the following:

sudo service vesta restart

Or simply restart your server:

reboot

Done. Now don’t forget to access your VestaCP Control Panel with the new port behind your URL.
